Senior Accountant

Calibre Engenium is a leading specialist railway engineering and project management company with a number of large scale rail construction projects and exciting plans for further expansion.

We are seeking applications from experienced and highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Senior Accountant.

 

The role involves:

  • Overseeing and assisting with preparation of monthly financial accounts.

  • Monitoring of cash flow and preparation of cash flow forecasts.

  • Preparing financial budgets and forecasts (annual & quarterly).

  • Monitoring accounts receivable ledger and assisting debtors follow up.

  • Monitoring accounts payable ledger.

  • Monitoring WIP and reimbursable expense balance sheet accounts.

  • Analysing and discussing draft accounts with General Manager monthly.

  • Preparation of monthly Finance Board reports.

  • Overseeing, reviewing and providing assistance with monthly reconciliations.

  • Involvement with the Annual Fringe Benefits Tax Return.

  • Overseeing preparation of monthly BAS returns including GST, PAYG, FBT and Income Tax installments.

  • Assisting with the yearly external audits, preparation of audit files and statutory accounts.

  • Maintaining adherence to internal controls.

  • Involvement in special projects regarding financial and commercial issues and analysis.

To be successful in this role the applicant would possess:
  • Tertiary degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or ACA accreditation.
  • At least 5 years experience in a corporate financial or project accounting role.
  • Tax and audit experience, ideally from practice.
  • Financial Accounting experience.
  • Project Accounting experience (including Revenue/COGS project analysis).
